BURLEY, Idaho (KBOI) — A semi-truck driver is dead after the truck fell off an overpass near Burley Monday morning.
KMVT reports the driver slammed into a guardrail on Interstate-84 multiple times before it gave way. Troopers say the truck landed onto Highway 24.
Another vehicle was caught up in the crash. Troopers do not know if the semi landed on the vehicle or if the driver hit the wreckage. That driver was not killed.
The semi wreckage caught fire at one point. It was put out by first responders.
Troopers have not released the possible cause of the crash.
