Alright, so the backstory is my cousin was moving her furniture and stuff out of her apartment to our house. Upon moving... something... the movers saw that there was a bed bug in their truck that had came off of her furniture. Now, this is AFTER they already moved 99% of her items into the house. So, the exterminator stopped by her apartment and our house to assess the situation and it was from a 1-10 scale, a 2 or 3 that our house would be infested with bed bugs. Thus, the family decided we need to heat treat the house in order to cook the little bastards into oblivion. From what the technician said, the temperatures reach in upwards of 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The other thing he mentioned is that damage to plastics might start around 155 degrees. If that is the case, I kinda don't wanna chance anything melting/fusing/sweating/leaning if those levels of temperature are enough to compromise their integrity. And even those that are still in boxes would probably have to move since I hear figures that don't "breathe" are worse off in hot temps. Finally, he did at least say it was going to be a dry heat as hot moist air plus figures is BAD.
Now, if you take a look at my profile or my pictures/setup, I have a literal metric ass ton of young ladies that would need to be moved. Like, 250+ metric ass ton. That being said, I'm now stressing the hell out since that is going to take a long time to re-box/move all of them. Fortunately, I can move them to the garage and create world's biggest pile of girls while the house gets nuked. And after that, I'd have the somewhat joy of setting everything straight ALL OVER AGAIN #Sarcasm.
My question to you is, has anyone on here ever had to deal with figures and heat treating a house? What upper temp limits should I worry about? Should I play it safe and just eat time to box/move/unbox them? I am on vacation all next week unrelatedly, but fuck does this really kill my ability to properly ENJOY it like I actually want to. So... yeah... anyone with experience in this and what levels of precautions I should take? And thanks for hearing me out because dammit this is devouring what precious sanity I have left right now.
