Hypocrisy, great evil, worthy of catastrophe | News, Sports, Jobs

If there is a supreme being or lawgiver who has created the law of justice, usually called karma, which states that we get what we deserve, or what goes around comes around, what is it about humanity that has caused dark epochs and calamitous times?

Under a paradigm of universal justice, we are not victims, but co-creators of our destiny.

But what about us contributes greatly to our misfortune?

Some would point to our ignorance, others to our mortal sins or capital crimes. Others would suggest human treachery or falsehood. Still others would speak of cupidity or usurpation.

Blasphemy or ungodliness would be accused of blame, while perversion, misrule, vice or cowardice would also be suspected.

I would suggest that hypocrisy, often sanctimonious, but always heartless and a corrupter of feelings, is a conceivably great evil, worthy of a severe and catastrophic counterblow. This widespread, conscious, degenerate, and shameful state of mind, undiminished by excuse or rationalization, has so harmed and hindered the evolution of human consciousness; the well-being of the planet; and the stability of institutions and structures, that fear has gripped the populace — fear of catastrophic destruction of various aspects of our existence.

Some might disagree and point to science’s compulsion to manifest all that’s possible, regardless of risk, as the major threat to earth existence, but scientific power is too new to account for historically terrible times.

Its present-day manifestation in pursuit of hypocritical agendas is overshadowed by its future promise.
